About the art
Artist statement
Being around water gives us a sense of something greater than ourselves, it expands the mind and the attention is on that, and as such it allows the body to rest, helping our internal state to be calm. Painting the water has a healing effect. Using lines and leaving traces on the canvas leaving the sensation of being there. This is a multi-layered painting, where the artist is developing her own techniques to decipher feelings and inspire hope and positivity so much needed in the troubled times we are experiencing.
