Artist statement
A solitary freediver, poised and graceful, glides effortlessly above the undulating sandy seabed in the depths of the Mediterranean Sea. The waves of sand, sculpted by the ocean’s gentle currents, create a mesmerizing, rhythmic pattern that stretches out beneath her. Soft beams of light filter through the water, illuminating her silhouette and casting delicate shadows on the textured floor below. The image captures a moment of serenity and connection, as the diver becomes one with the calm, expansive ocean surrounding Menorca’s coastline, embodying the tranquility and freedom found beneath the surface.
