Artist statement
This artwork is an emotional exploration of how I felt in a tropical setting, with colours being constrasted on a black background, to highlight the pastel nature of those colours and feelings. The work is in the style of abstract expressionism.
This artwork is painted on professional-grade canvas stretched and sealed with varnish. The canvas has dimensions 158 cm in width by 120 cm in height. The painting wraps around the sides of the stretcher, so the sides are painted in the same style as the surface. As such it does not need a frame, but framing options are available.
The artwork was created on the 16th of July, 2022.
