Artist statement
This tapestry is part of a nude collection and is one of a kind contemporary artwork. Handmade using tufting technique and pure Portuguese wool yarn with anti-moth treatment. The bass-relief is carved with scissors, creating different heights and a textured based landscape. The pine wood frame is designed and produced by the studio and represents contention of the form as part of the composition. This piece explores the beauty of female body and its release from society's standards.
