Artist statement
This painting is included in my collection: Color and Space. In this painting, I create a feeling of depth in the dark background by placing colored shapes that either appear to be in the foreground or in the background. This gives the feeling of three dimensions on a two dimensional surface. The result is the impression of forms in deep space.
