About the art
Artist statement
This painting is included in my collection: Form and Feeling. It conveys the beauty of colors that are light and bright., referred to in color theory as tints. This means working with colors on the lighter end of the value scale. The impressionists used this color pallet because they were interested in capturing the visual impression of light. The final composition is a balanced arrangement of these colors using simple geometric shapes floating in a brilliant light background.
