About the art
Artist statement
"Floral in orange and turquoise", acrylic and wax pastels on canvas, 130X89 cm.
A symphony of oranges and turquoises !
This painting is a contemporary, modern, decorative and imaginary interpretation of the floral universe. The natural elements are evoked freely: flowers, plants, vegetation, branches.
This piece with warm, bright colors is made with acrylics and wax pastels, in a gestural style, with spontaneous writing. Graphics, black or colored, drawn with wax pastels, animate the surface of the work.
The pictorial touches create a visual vibration even in spaces with more peaceful colored camaieux, with colored whites, yellows and oranges. The turquoises and blues strongly contrast in a very assumed game between complementary, opposite, cold and warm colors.
The painting continues on the edges.
