Artist statement
"Pink and red floral Monet inspired", acrylic and wax pastels on canvas, 130x89 cm.
Due to it's size, the painting is sold unstretched, in a transport tube.
A beautiful symphony of roses and reds, in harmony with subtiles colored whites, light mauves and violets, in contrast with delicate thin lines of soft oranges.
This painting is a contemporary and imaginary interpretation of the floral universe. The natural elements are evoked freely: flowers, plants, branches, leaves and foliages, blooms.
This semi abstract or semi figurative brightly colored piece is made with acrylics and wax pastels, in a gestural and loose style, with spontaneous writing. The wax pastel graphics in colorful shades animate certain areas of the work. The touches create a colorful vibration, the glazes bring depth to the colors, a game between the underside and the top of the painting. The photos can't show the richness of the painting.
The painting continues on the edges: no need frame, if you want.
