Artist statement
It started as a search for a hanging sculpture. Because of its weight, stone is not the most obvious material for this. But that works fine in a small format. Ultimately, by combining different parts and materials, it has become a standing sculpture. But because it is so open, it still has an airy feel to it.
It is made of a French limestone with many fossils. The frame is made of rusted metal. The polished stone hangs from a leather cord.
This sculpture can also be placed outside.
