The Spume series explore the boundaries between painting and sculpture based on multidisciplinary media and material research. This particular small piece has very exaggerated gestures showing the wooden structure behind.
I find this material very special.. the extreme expression of the hand strokes of a semi liquid medium which stay in the precise position and shape until it dries, it’s not subject to shrinking or any future changes in its composition.
