Artist statement
This oil painting represents a the lord of the creatures of the night. Ledesma works on unplanned subjects, elements, emotions, life experiences, which belong to his subconscious. He's always experimenting, in order to get different textures and color mixtures. He uses the regular oils, but changes constantly from one solvent to another. An abstract composition in black, gray and white. The work is rich in details and textures and invites the spectator to remain and deepen into the painting. Oil Dispersion is the painting technique used to make this work. Oil Dispersion is a personal discovery and development of the artist consisting in a chemical formula based on oil paint, and a specific method. The original and colorful artwork of Francisco Ledesma is inspired in nature, and shows attractive areas which are plenty of fractal textures and tremendously rich details. His work is causing a sensation in the art market and it is looked for collectors around the world.
