Artist statement
This artwork explores the idea of predation on a psychological and abstract level, rather than through literal animal metaphors. Figures dissolve, merge, and exist on an uncertain boundary, caught in an invisible flow of power dynamics.
The dominant upper figure looms with an unreadable gaze, while the chaotic, fragmented bodies below embody uncertainty, submission, or the struggle for survival.
This painting reflects a world where predators are not always beasts, and herbivores are not always victims. Power, manipulation, and the instinct to endure become fundamental aspects of human consciousness and social structures
