Artist statement
"Echoes of the Unseen" explores themes of memory, loss, and the fragile boundary between presence and absence. The dark, almost spectral composition is punctuated by vivid red outlines—suggesting traces of existence, lingering spirits, or the remnants of past experiences. The figures appear to dissolve into the shadows, symbolizing fading identities or suppressed emotions.
The presence of the dog and the plush toy within the fragmented forms introduces a contrast between innocence and transience, reminding us of childhood nostalgia, companionship, and the inevitable passage of time. The blending of abstraction and figuration creates a dreamlike tension, inviting the viewer to interpret the work through their own emotions and subconscious.
This piece challenges the viewer to confront the ephemeral nature of life, identity, and memory—asking: what remains when everything fades?
