Artist’s musings on The Golden Ratio series:
“Drawing from the perceived image of Venus, the Roman goddess for beauty, I look at the birth of Venus by Botticelli as a standard ratio of a beautiful face. From this base, I use layers of faces from some of the most recognized beauties, such as Marilyn Monroe, to explore the balance between the social standard of beauty and individuality.”
