Story:
Visiting to the north of Spain, included last minute Cascada de Boltaña waterfall. Satellite directions indicated a long route, but I trusted my instincts driving directly to Boltaña reducing driving time.
Upon arrival discovered that Cascada de Boltaña referred to two waterfalls: Pózas de San Martín and Cascada del Confesionario. The road leading to them was narrow, and while there were clear signs at the beginning, they soon disappeared. With no internet signal to verify our location, we continued until we found a parking area with a small sign pointing to a trail.
First challenge was crossing a creek with no bridge. Reaching after a kilometer Pózas de San Martín, which translates to "pools." Unfortunately, had little water flowing through them. Disappointed, took few photos before trekking towads the second waterfall. However, the trail was slippery due to the clay yellow/orange formation. Although I noticed water pipes along the side of the trail, potentially reducing the water volume, the uncertainty about finding a significant waterfall led me to decide to turn back.
