Story:
My son had often mentioned that I should visit Punta del Este in Uruguay. Last week, we were invited for a few days and drove from Montevideo to Punta del Este, passing through a beautiful green landscape. This was a sharp contrast to the previous weeks, where the Ontario region was blanketed in snow with subzero temperatures.
We stayed in the nearby town of La Barra, just three blocks from the beach. I took photos at different times of the day, and, as usual, the best lighting came early in the morning and after sunset. Although I woke up at 5:30 AM and was on the beach just 10 minutes later to capture the morning light, I was still a bit late…
I recalled the comments from National Geographic photographers when they saw a preview of The Bridges of Madison County. In the film, the main character, a National Geographic photographer, heads out for photos at mid-morning. The photographers, upon watching the preview, all said, "Already late".
