About the art
Artist statement
This piece is inspired by my early experiences of cultivating pumpkins. It explores the vibrant contrast between the black of the ink and the red hues derived from minerals. This interplay of colors brings out a vivid, dynamic tension in the composition. The juxtaposition of round pumpkins, square inscriptions, and intricate, irregular vines and leaves enhances the richness of the spatial arrangement, creating a complex and engaging visual narrative.
