Artist statement
Abstract photograph of De Rotterdam in Rotterdam, Netherlands. A vast structure, both abstract and minimal but extremely complex all at the same time. An intense structure of mixed use - Residential, Office, Hotel etc. The improbable juxtaposition of different levels are inspired and visually stunning. It was designed by OMA Architects (Rem Koolhaas). An interesting fact is that it has 160,000 m2 of floor space, making it the largest building in the Netherlands.
