Hypnagogia

Conventional thought makes us see the shape of things, but there is something beyond thought when the mind is silent; there is an "opening" to someplace close to the depths, hidden somewhere in the mind... A new dimension away from all the noise.

I want my painting to express an alternative to the mind that is cluttered with the things of thought that are words. I want my paintings to convey calm, to signal an openness to letting “be”, to feel without fear, without confusion, to expand the mind without prejudice, and to let spirituality flow.
