About the art
Artist statement
This painting is part of a series of works alluding to the human figure. I am
continually inspired to paint the figure in ways that appear new and unique.
The series of which this work is a part is inspired primarily by the Cuban-American
artist Carmen Herrera (b.1915) and the British painter Bridget Riley (b.1931).
The work is signed and dated on the back.
