Artist statement
I was influenced by traditional Japanese paintings of flowers and birds. We added lightness to the flower and bird painting and updated it in a modern way.
This painting depicts Japanese cherry blossoms. There are four seasons in Japan, and cherry blossoms represent spring in Japan.
