Artist statement
This is one of a series of Flower Portraits that I made during Lockdown. I had the idea to photograph flowers in a portrait style some time before the Lockdowns started, so when we were all cloistered away inside our homes it became the perfect subject matter to explore. I had a lovely time working with the various flowers and they all had their own 'Personalities' that needed to be acknowledged as part of the process of getting the best from the images that I could. Edition of 10. Printed on high end paper with archival ink. Paper size 84.1 x 59.4cm. Image size 79.1 x 52.67cm. Signed, numbered, dated and titled on verso.
