This painting is built up in layers of red, scraped and reworked to reveal traces of what lies beneath. The thick cold wax gives the surface a textured, almost weathered feel, with areas of smoothness and roughness balancing each other. Shapes and marks appear and disappear, guided by both intention and chance. It’s a process of exploring how color, texture, and time interact on the surface.
