Artist statement
This expressionist-abstract style artwork is a return to the sources when the artist painted flowers by observation. This bouquet of roses was given to her for a special occasion. In an intuitive and fast impulse, she captured all their beauty in a few strokes before they died, like a running against time. A free expression on the sidelines of the artist's usual process which is an exercise of style, an ardent impulse to freeze emotion in the time.
