Artwork inspired by “Niels Klim’s underground travel” , Ludvig Holberg’s masterpiece, written in 1741.
The depicted scene shows Niels, who is just fallen inside our planet’s belly, floating in orbit while is attacked by a big grifon, holding his graduation certificate to prove he is a respectable man!
