About the art
Artist statement
Stepped Structure is intended to be an architectural suggestion. One side is perfectly straight. As a result it exists perpendicular to the proposed flat urban environment. The other side is made up of perfectly proportioned and equally sized steps leading to the top. Thus referencing the stepped pyramids of ancient Egypt. The structure is really narrow. Like 40' at full scale. It should be built in the middle of Central Park.
Stepped Structure includes a removable base. The bottom 18” of the sculpture easily slides into the slotted base.
