Artist statement
Physalia Chandelier is one of James Lethbridge Glass's, signature pieces. Based around around the Portuguese Man 'O' Jellyfish, with the Latin title 'Physalia Physalis', the long glass tendrils seemingly intertwine, whilst catching and reflecting twinkling light. The Physalia is also completely hand flame worked, utilising a specialist glass working torch, which mixes oxygen and propane to temperatures around 1300oC.
