About the art
Artist statement
This oil painting represents a little harbour on a river in Western France. It was realised from watercolour studies made in situ. In the bottom part of the painting, rowing boats used for fishing on the river are moored. Great attention has been paid to the contrasts between light and shade and to the reflections in the water. It is framed with a wooden floating frame and ready to hang.
The size of the painting without its frame is 41x33x2 cm
