About the art
Artist statement
This oil painting depicts one of the most beautiful villages in France. Located on one of the first foothills of the Alpilles chain, this medieval village is atop a rocky outcrop that is crowned with a ruined castle overlooking the plains to the south. This oil on canvas was realised with the help of watercolor studies made at the foot of the castle, a place that allows you to have a view of the roofs, the church and the chalky plateaux on the other side of the valley. This work is sold framed with a beige wooden floating frame(see additional photo) and ready to hang.
Size without the frame: 55x46cx2cm. Size with the frame : 62x53x3.5cm
