About the art
Artist statement
The famous medieval city of Carcassonne is the main subject of this oil painting. It was realised in the artist's studio from sketches and watercolors made in-situ in October 2016. In the foreground we can see a vineyard with autumnal colors and in the background the mountains of Lacaune. This oil painting is sold unframed ) but ready to hang. The sides are painted black for presentation. It can be framed on request.
