About the art
Artist statement
The old farmhouse and its park represented in this oil are located not far from the artist's studio. He first made a watercolor in-situ which he used as a study for creating this oil in successive glazes. He made a synthesis in order to keep only the essential, which gives the work a minimalist aspect in which contrasts between light and shade as well as colors play an essential role. This oil is ready to hang. The sides of the canvas are painted black for presentation.
