This piece, named "Embers," was created by the artist after a close examination of pollen grains at the microscopic level. The result is reminiscent of a fire, with its swirling, gestural brushstrokes in a blend of burnt red, terracotta and dusty pink, topped off with intricate, lace-like circles.
