Artist statement
In the spirit of nature, everything is connected. Water is the source of life and it nurtures the flow of life. In Taoism Philosophy, all things in the universe are one in essence.
The horse is a majestic animal associated with strength, courage and freedom. Its spirit also gives us the inner motivational power to move forward, succeed in our ventures and become the best version we can become.
The pine is an evergreen tree. In traditional Chinese culture, it is a common symbol of integrity, longevity, and perseverance in the face of hardship because it does not wither during difficult winters.
