Oasis

Happiness should be like an oasis, the greener for the desert that surrounds it. Art should be an oasis, a place or refuge from the hardness of life. Faith is an oasis in the heart which will never be reached by the caravan of thinking.

Besides water nurtures the flow of life, horses are often associated with water in myth and legends. In Greek mythology, the horse is the attribute of the Greek sea god Poseidon, who is said to have created it with his trident. In the traditional Chinese culture, horses and water are symbols of success and wealth.

The relationship between horses and water represents the connection and mutual dependency between all things in the universe. This creation was deeply rooted from the traditional Chinese philosophy Taoism, which claims that “Heaven and earth coexist with me, and all things and I are one”.

2. The actual size of the artwork may be slightly different with a tolerance of +/- 5cm, as each edition was casted manually.
