The sculpture Aspirations is featured in one of the Art Books by Joyce Steinfeld called “Sign Posts Among the Living Shapes”. This sculpture and the book are about our individual personal quest for the meaning of life and the concepts that Aspirations point towards is that we may have different desires and goals from our neighbor. One persons desires may be of no interest to another. Here is where we begin to understand that we can appreciate and love another person, even though we may have different ideas of what is important.
