Artist statement
The sculpture Blooming is featured in one of the Art Books by Joyce Steinfeld called “Sign Posts Among the Living Shapes”. This sculpture and the book are about our individual personal quest for the meaning of life and the talents and skills we discover in ourselves as we take this journey. The bottom shape is simple and elegant, then suddenly blooming from the top is something that is unique and striking. If we allow it, life will take us on such a journey, revealing to us the uniqueness and specialness that each of us holds inside and can share with the world.
