Artist statement
This collage is an example of my interest of Geometric Hard Edge Abstraction using paper instead of paint. Secret Language, Feeling Groovy and Zig Zag were completed over the course of three days, November 23rd to the 25th, 2020.
They conform to flat areas of color, composition of geometric abstraction, intense color and economy of form. They are heavily influence by the work of Karl Benjamin, Frederick Hammersley and Lorser Feitelson.
