Artist statement
I relate to painting as if it were a dance, trying to understand new steps between color and geometry. There are never any hints of gestures or marks. The paintings are distilled, austere, elegant and jewel-like. I sometimes employ what I calls zips of contrasting colors, to "activate" the space. My work is firmly planted in the Minimalist, Reductive, Geometric, and Hard Edge Schools of painting.
Signed, dated and titled on the back of the painting. Wired on the back, ready to hang. Sides are painted white. I use gallery wrapped canvas.
