About the art
Artist statement
This artwork is part of the exhibition Traces of the Invisible, that’s an exclusive showcase for the Fragmentum art gallery. This exhibition explores the interpretation, search and meaning of life itself, analyzing the intersection between the personal and the environment.
This artwork consists in 11 pine needle ornaments, arranged in a clockwise direction, over a white painted wood canvas.
In the Amalgama series, white is used exclusively without varnish, seeking to symbolize transformation, imperfection, and the connection to everyday surroundings. The rough textures and exposed paint drips represent resilience and adaptation, while white serves as a meditative space, inviting the viewer to reflect on the ephemeral nature of beauty.
