About the art
Artist statement
Three pine needle ornaments covered in a mixture of cement, glue, sawdust, porcelain and latex are placed on a white painted wood canvas, with a chaotic demonstration of textures, where ripped sheets of paper are ripped and covered with chinese ink and sawdust . Conceptual Object 18 is the first piece of the "Fragmented Pathways" Series and part of "Traces of the Invisible" Expo.
This series is, in a way, a meditation on how paths, although fragmented, connect to one another through the decisions made, and how those decisions lead us back to places, ideas, and moments that define our evolution as creative and emotional beings. Here, the focus is on the solidity and rawness of the material, reflecting a moment of consolidation and fragmentation that engages with the idea of unfinished yet resilient paths
