About the art
Artist statement
Made entirely from dried paint these coils begin the descent into degradation.
Coupled with a total separation of a black void this is my interpretation of a society in breakdown.
This work was initially inspired at the end of the global lockdowns. It has come to fruition, however, as the world begins reporting new strains of the COVID virus.
Multi-coloured pieces of paint have been misted with white to emphasize unity in a threat that affects all.
The work is framed in a white timber box frame. The work is fitted with D-rings and wire for immediate hanging. On the back you will find my signature, title, and date. The artwork is registered with the NRAA (National Registry for Australian Artists), details of the registration will be included with a Certificate of Authenticity.
