Artist statement
1A: Chisels excavate into 15 layers of paint to reveal the hidden hues beneath the white surface. This results in a highly unique, visually unusual sculptural painting which is set into a pale timber box frame.
1B: The paint that was excavated with chisels out of my painting Excavation 1A are mounted in a chaotic tumble which is covered with a high gloss resin.
Whether free-standing or wall-hanging these stunning abstracts offer unusual texture and mouth-watering colour.
