About the art
Artist statement
A warm breeze ripples the lush green canopy of leaves as golden sunlight shimmers between the gaps. Inspired by the Japanese practice of wandering meditatively through a forest.
This pair of visually light sculptures evoke peace and tranquillity with a hint of the wild.
Each paint drip is dried before being meticulously glued one by one over the hand-made sculptures. The innovative technique merges my background as a mosaic artist and sculptor with my interest in the manipulation of dried paint as a material.
The work is fitted with D-rings and wire for immediate hanging. On the back you will find my signature, title, and date. The artwork is registered with the NRAA (National Registry for Australian Artists), details of the registration will be included with a Certificate of Authenticity.
The work will be shipped in a custom plywood box.
