Artist statement
Pours Button (Circle Collection) - The inspiration for this work was a random selection of buttons I received in the mail with the request to create a circular artwork for the exhibition Pause Button. Due to COVID19 the exhibition has been cancelled but the work continued.
Pours Button is entirely made from vivid red dried paint, coiled, stacked, and layered with hints of silver accents. A vibrant statement piece for a buyer who appreciates the unique.
This work is fitted with D rings and wire for immediate hanging. The panel has a hidden wooden framework which allows the work to ‘float’ a few cms (one inch) from the wall. On the back you will find my signature, initials, title and year. It is registered on the NRAA (National Registry for Australian artists) .The work comes with details of the registration and a Certificate of Authenticity.
