Artist statement
Embracing the imperfect this innovative creation allows for variations in the individual paint pieces. The Flowerbomb Series is alternative, edgy, and bursting with dimensional colour. Swirling poppies in vivid red captivate with their pulsating energy and striking texture.
This stunning yet poignant artwork comprises over 1000 individually moulded paint petals. It uses a symbolic minimalistic approach inspired by thoughts of those who gave their lives in defending their country.
The work is fitted with D-rings and wire for immediate hanging. On the back you will find my signature, title, and date. The artwork is registered with the NRAA (National Registry for Australian Artists), details of the registration will be included with a Certificate of Authenticity.
