Artist statement
Are you drawn to being different? Choose an artwork that defies the rectangle, refuses to be labelled, and, absolutely, could never be accused of being flat.
Fine art meshes with the ancient hands-on technique of weaving to produce slow art with bags of personality.
Bold and dynamic this textile ripples from sultry purple to moody violet throwing shadows over the wall. Threads, made entirely from dried paint, interweave in this magical work that is beautifully alternative and strikingly innovative.
Ripples are held permanently in place with a papier mache skin applied to the reverse of the textile.
The work is fitted with D-rings and wire for immediate hanging. On the back you will find my signature, title, and date. The artwork is registered with the NRAA (National Registry for Australian Artists), details of the registration will be included with a Certificate of Authenticity.
The work is sealed with multiple layers of fine art varnish.
