Artist statement
Original abstract painting was created in the hard edge painting style, developed by Frank Stella. Hard edges painting describes an abstract style that combines the clear composition of geometric abstraction with intense color and bold shapes. Soothing colors of blue and light green with gold outlines created by many layers of thin acrylic washes. The painting arrives ready to hang, edges painted in white. Artist is interested in color theory, she masterfully applies paint creating movement from a static shape of the flower. Painting can be hung in any direction. The artist's signature is on the back.
