Artist statement
“We're all victims of the architect. Architecture is the only art that you can't help but feel. You can avoid paintings, you can avoid music, and you can even avoid history. But good luck getting away from architecture.”(Phillippe Daverio)
#MASTERBUILDER: both a playful spin on words in German and English alludes to a master creator, a singularity at the very source of an idea. The creative big bang.
Increasingly the as fusion of nature and architecture in the urban environment develops we also increasingly long for a return to the purity of nature. This new series Masterbuilder simultaneously explores and visualizes these parallels. The Master Architect plays God by shaping our world or maybe the other way round.
In renderings of what might be, Masterbuilder turns its attention the spiritual underlying of the world we inhabit and the world beyond us in the future and the unknown.
