About the art
Artist statement
Ansalas is a contemporary artist whose work process focuses on experimentation and research, especially in the field of photography.
She uses the camera in an unconventional way. In a sense, the work follows a system or thought process that alludes to the very essence of photography, which is to write/draw with light.
This work belongs to a series called Untitled Project.
It is an investigation on color, time and perception. From the line emerges a plane, whose composition produces a spatial illusion. Ansalas explores new ways of working the photographic medium, for this the artist makes different movements with the camera in hand, seeking to create shapes, spaces and volumes that can only be seen through the resources of photography.
