About the art
Artist statement
The mixed media abstract pieces are born from digitally blending images on a computer. As images are playfully manipulated, new and authentic visuals emerge, forming the foundation for abstract creations. Once the digital artwork is crafted, it is printed and affixed to the canvas, then intricately worked over with gel mediums to build texture. Afterwards, it’s enhanced with acrylics, oils, and oil pastels and finished with a satin gloss varnish. Materials are applied using brushes, sponges, palette knives, and fingers. This process creates a dance between digital precision and manual artistry, occasionally leaving the viewer delightfully puzzled. This intriguing creative journey combines digital and traditional techniques to fashion unique abstract art pieces. It merges computer manipulation with hands-on painting methods, resulting in layered, texturally rich compositions that blur the line between digital innovation and handcrafted artistry.
